Complementing the vacuum cleaner hose flexing tester (shown elsewhere) this machine checks the hose for compliance with the above standard whereby a current carrying hose has to resist abrasion.
The hose is moved back and forth over a slowly turning abrasive belt with a weight of 1 kg connected to the free end. No exposed wires are to be seen at the end of the test.
